Safe Gift List For Your Special Gal

Somewhere along the way, someone recently suggested that I should write a blog post about Christmas gift giving.  I could make a generalization that most men have difficulty when it comes to finding the perfect gift for their loved one.  I think the problem is not that women are so hard to buy gifts for, rather, the men refuse to acknowledge that most women will be happy and satisfied with any of the gifts from the list I am about to provide.  And the good thing is that there is something on this list for any budget.

The Gifts that are desired by many most women:

jewelry
perfume
anything Vera Bradley
slippers
manicure
jewelry
pedicure
phone upgrade
show tickets
a special weekend away
a tropical vacation
jewelry
a shopping spree
a day at the spa
shower gel
coupons (for foot rub, back rub, head massage)
suitcase or tote bag (with a map inside marking a surprise vacation destination)
jewelry

Gifts that are fairly risky to buy:

clothing (size and style are often hard to nail down)
household appliances (are often      associated with work)
kitchen gadgets (see household appliances)
home decor items (women like to decorate the home and men should just leave it to them)
flowers (should be given to women as surprises only on non-holidays to have the most meaning)
lingerie

Gifts to absolutely not give a woman:

a gym membership
a membership to Weight Watchers
candy (could be considered sabotage)
a pet (unless you know for sure
          she wants it)

Good stocking stuffers for a woman:

pens and small notebook
chapstick
mascara
small packs of tissues
gift cards
jewelry
Kindle gift card
mini book light
mints for her purse
new luggage tag (preferably with a trip coupon in it)
OPI nail polish

The best one thing to put in a Christmas stocking for a woman:

A love letter

  2. Santa knows who's naughty or nice, but isn't it the naughty women that get the best gifts? Just kidding. . .
