So when I learned that he was going to attend an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party, sponsored by the young adults group at the local Christ Wesleyan Church, I knew there would be some good pictures to share with you.
An intense flurry of shopping and creating began early on the day of the party. With fierce determination, Caleb voiced his mindset. "Bring it on - I'm in it to win it."
In case you've never attended one of these parties, or even heard of the notion of Ugly Christmas Sweaters, the object is to find or create, and wear the gaudiestly (is that a word? it is now!) decorated sweaters imaginable.
I looked online for some of these sweaters to show you, and here are a few:
Well folks, those are pretty UGGGLYYYYY, but the results of Caleb's party came in, and guess who won? You got it - Caleb!
Here he is in his gawdawfulugly sweater with one of the other top competitors. Caleb is on the left; Todd is on the right.
I think it is pretty amazing that both guys showed up in the same sweater underneath all the other crap decorations. What are the chances of that?
Unfortunately Todd was disqualified. Even though he had included some spectacular exterior illumination on his shirt, apparently he removed his shirt prior to judging. So Caleb was the winner.
Here are the rest of the competitors.
Ahhhh, the thrill of victory, the agony of defeat.
LOL! I love this. My husband would never put on a Christmas sweater. What a fun guy!
ReplyDeleteI haven't wore a sweater since I was in school and that was over 50 years ago. In public I mean. I did wear them when deer hunting in PA.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Caleb! The sweaters are hilarious :) That's a fun event, I enjoyed just merely looking at the pictures.
